Mating threads between Tie Bars and Tie Bar Nuts have been a concern and source for potential problems since day one. In this case, one of our OEM customers did not want to change the thread geometry, but wanted to do something about their thread galling problems. We recommended a bronze inlay inside a steel body.
It worked so well, our customer made it a permanent design change.
